I need to lose weight. It's not going to be easy because I'm lazy and old, which makes it hard to get my mojo working on any given day. But I'm quite a determined person so I'm hoping by blogging about my diet and fitn
One week down...

Walked into town this afternoon and felt really good... lighter and more flexible.... so I think this diet I'm on is working.  I'm trying to stay between 1200 and 1800 calories per day but I've gone below that a couple of days.  Not trying to, but it's hard to calculate calories; I'm just trying to make sure that I satisfy my appetite with healthy food.

I did eat a chocolate yesterday.  I'm not a person who eats a lot of candy so that was kind of surprising that I felt like eating chocolate.  I'm still drinking way too much wine but I find it kills my appetite, as do pickles and olives so I munch on them occasionally. But wine is taking up about 250 calories a day.  I'll work on cutting down.

It makes me wonder if I'm recording my meals correctly.  When I input my fitness information, I used more calories than I ate for the day.  Wait, that's probably how a person loses weight, right?  I thought there was something wrong with what I was doing but now I think not.

I'll have to try to do that more often.  Duh!

First, I'll have to find a weight loss program... maybe Weight Watchers online.  I live on a small island so any program is going to have to be online or it will get too burdensome to continue.
