When I started South Beach on May 1st I weighed 262lbs. I weighed in this morning and I am 228lbs. That is a weight loss of 34 lbs in 2 1/2 months! This is working very well for me. Along with South Beach I do strength exercises (which I post on Apples & Oranges Weight Loss Challenge) and I walk 3 miles a day and if I can't due to weather etc. I do 20 minutes on the elyptical machine. Days like today motivate me to keep going and to do even better. I wish I were able to afford a personal trainer to show me exactly what I should be doing for exercises but so far so good on my own! I am feeling so motivated that I have been thinking of making improvements in my life in other areas. I am considering going to school for nails, manicures and pedicures and opening up my own home based business. Isn't it funny how things in your life change just by controling what you put in your mouth!!!!

Friday the 13th!!!! I love it. I just got back from grocery shopping and stocked up on South Beach friendly foods. I even found some great wraps with only 6 grams of carbs!!!! I am trying to experiment and get out of my food rut. This weekend looks like it is going to be great so hopefully we can get out and get some fresh air! Have a great weekend!!!

I have started a club called South Beach Bums for all of us South Beachers to communicate. I hope it gets big and is filled with lots of cool people who will be there for each other through thick and thin! I have also started this Blog so I will hopefully begin the journaling I keep meaning to start. Hope to see you in the Club!
