A Diet Based on Carrots, Healthy and Efficient
By Neil Stadford, Project Weight Loss Editor - Diet
January 28, 2008

When trying to lose weight, many people tend to follow a drastic diet that promises immediate results. These results may sometimes be obtained but there is a price to pay and your health has to suffer. If would be great to find a healthy diet that helps you lose the extra-pounds and easy to follow. Here is the “secret” of carrots and the efficiency of a diet based on carrots.

Carrots are rich in beta-carotene, vitamin A, and minerals such as iron, calcium, phosphorus, sodium, and magnesium. This vegetable cleans the body from toxins, can help the skin recovery, and it`s highly indicated against digestive problems. A diet based on carrots is also recommended to enhance memory and stimulate brain activity.

Here are a few tips for dieters who wish to take advantage from a diet based on carrots:

Tip #1: For breakfast, dieters may have coffee, tea, and a salad made of two fresh carrots, with a teaspoon of olive oil and lemon juice.

Tip #2: Between breakfast and lunch, have a cup of tea or a juice.

Tip #3: For lunch, the menu is more various. For instance, dieters may have a vegetable soup with tomatoes, potatoes, onion, and parsley, and a green salad with three scrapped carrots. You may add a spoon of oil and fresh lemon juice to the salad. People who want to follow this type of diet can also boil the carrots and serve them with spices.

Tip #4: Between lunch and dinner, you may have a juice or some carrot juice.

Tip #5: A warm soup of vegetables should be consumed for dinner. It is important that dieters don`t use any type of spice mixture found in commerce. Use only salt, aromatic plants, and lemon.

Ask for medical advice before starting a diet or a fitness program. Remember that what is good for others may not be as good for you.
