Vegetarian Vampires in True Blood?

Maryann Forrester is like an immortal maenad. Still, it seems is not impossible to kill her since Bill asks Sophie-Ann for advice. Michelle Forbes plays Maryann and she admitted it can be suffocating to sit in her expansiveness. More than this Michelle is not like Maryann at all.

The actress told BlackBook she has lots of fun at work. If in the first season her character was a little mysterious, now her influence continues to expand. Michelle admitted she experiences “that glee and that freedom. It was a good feeling—to put those earrings and eyelashes back on. We had an amazing time this season.”

Forbes has a different perspective of looking at the world than the maenad. More over she’s a vegetarian. “My belief system, as a vegetarian, can’t believe that animals are being sacrificed,” she said.

Vegetarianism is not anymore strange and faddish. Many studies have proven vegetarian diets are nutritionally adequate, providing healthful benefits in the treatment and prevention of chronic diseases.

A specific item of vegetarian diets is represented by beans and lentils. The good thing is there are many kinds of beans from where you can choose. Beans are used in different ethnic dishes so there’s no way you can have enough of them.

Predominantly plant-based diets lower the risk of cancer because they are rich in a variety of legumes, vegetables and fruits. Also, regular vegetable and fruit can reduce the risk of ischemic heart disease.

Being vegetarian like Michelle Forbes can be healthy even if people won’t be afraid of you, like they do of Maryann. You can lose weight, stay fit, protect yourself of different diseases, and support animal rights by following a vegetarian diet.
