May 19, 2008Madonna, considered one of the greatest pop stars of all time, has always known how to take care of her body. She has always been in a good shape and managed to stun the audience every time she's made an appearance. Although she's always been extremely careful with the things she eats, over the past few years she took diet and fitness to a whole new level, for her and for those who are curios enough to discover some of her secrets.
Some say she has become a total fitness guru. Her fitness program consists only of Ashtanga Yoga, also known as power yoga. This type of yoga is usually chosen by athletes, because it promotes less meditation and more strength and stamina development. It is, however, accessible for anyone with a reasonable pshysical condition. Since physical condition was never a problem for Madonna, she adopted this style, and it really seems to be working for her. She admits that this type of routine keeps her in a perfect shape, head to toe.
Of course, her strict healthy diet does the trick too. One of the most impressive things is that she barely touches junk food, which is remarcable, judging by the world were living in today. Guided by a personal coach, health and diet expert, she manages to stay away from any kind of temptation. By following a macrobiotic diet, the star eats organic whole food, which is very rich in lean proteins.
Although it now seems that her life is completely guided by a strict style, it’s not always true. She admits that she occasionaly enjoys ale from the local pub, thanks to her English husband. However, she almost never eats in restaurants, believeing that you can never be too careful, especially when it comes to food.
She also reveals that when she was on tour, she would run and do weights a lot. But that was in the past. Her new methods are more than capable of keeping her in shape, any time, any place.
