October 10, 2008The voluptuous Beyoncé Knowles reveals, at last, details about her wedding with Jay-Z. Remarkably, they concealed everything from the public, and the weird thing is the singer tells the wedding story now, after 6 months. There was no engagement ring, no posing. It sure wasn’t a “marketing” wedding. Even with all this, the 27-year-old singer and actress most certainly looked amazing. How did she get to transform from the “chubby kid”, how her mother called her, to a dream girl?
She’s got a smoking bottom and a curvy body and this physical attribute got the name of “bootylicious”, the title of a 2001 hit. Beyoncé was never considered fat and women around the world envied her for her perfect bottom. Now, with all this dieting, it seems she became just another stick in the tree of celebrities. There’s not enough patience in the world to count the number of diets she’s been following through the years. She’s constantly dieting for a movie, for a video, for her wedding, for her self-esteem. The most popular diet that she’s known to have been following is the Lemon Juice Diet, or Master Cleanser, or Maple Syrup Diet.
She went through the Master Cleanser Diet in 2006, when preparing for her role in the movie “Dreamgirls”. There are some ingredients that mixed together compose the wonder weight loss drink, also known to the ordinary people as lemonade. The results were what she expected. The singer lost 14.5 pounds but the diet is a mess. Specialists say this diet is more a fasting than a healthy nutrition plan, due to the calorie deficit, and could easily be an entry ticket to the hospital. Beyonce herself admits this fact: “As soon as it was over, I gained the weight back. At the wrap party the day after filming they had these cupcakes and I ate about twelve. After that I ate waffles, fried chicken, cheeseburgers, French fries, everything I could find.”
What’s this diet all about? Drinking lemonade, avoiding solid food and afterwards drinking laxative tea seems to be the recipe. “I would never recommend it to anyone unless you are doing a movie and it’s necessary, and you have proper help,” said the no longer bootylicious singer. “This is the worst thing you can do to your waistline! By literally starving yourself, you're imposing restrictions on your body and you don't just burn fat: you burn muscle. As soon as you start eating again, you put the weight back on, but you only put the fat back on. Your weight will fluctuate (the yo-yo effect). Alternating starvation with junk food binges is a diet disaster, and the effects of surviving on maple syrup are unpleasant and downright dangerous. Don't ever do it,” said an expert.
She also exercises, even if it’s unbelievable considering the diets that lack of strength and energy aliments. She dances on and off the stage, runs, and lifts weights. Maybe that’s why she’s so thirsty. Our advice is not to try this diet unless you’re a movie star, start filming in two days and you have a personal nutritionist that strongly believes you can handle it. If not, then just be old fashioned and stick to a healthy diet and a proper workout plan. This is a weight loss plan that no expert can argue with.
