October 27, 2008Ranked hottest women of horror movies, most desirable woman in the world, sexiest woman in the world and the list may go on. Alison Elizabeth Larter or Ali Larter seems to have it all, career, hot body and a beautiful family. She last appeared at the premiere of “Zack and Miri Make a Porno” in L.A. and she was looking amazing in her black dress. How is it that she fits in every little dress?
The 32-year-old actress, mostly known for her parts in “Varsity Blues”, “Legally blonde” , and, most recently, the NBC series “Heroes", is looking great on the red carpet. Her modeling career, which started when she was 13, has prepared her for this glamorous life. Among other “awards”, she ranked #2 on Maxim’s “Hottest Women of Horror Movies” list and #19 in FHM’s “100 Sexiest Women in the World 2008". She also made it in the top list of Shape’s Sexiest Bodies in America.
Ali believes that, as an actress that is most of the times in the spotlight, she has to make an effort to keep fit. And that can only be accomplished with hard work and discipline. She revealed in Self magazine, in an interview, some “secrets” about how she manages to look good. For example, Ali tries to avoid eating carbs at night, especially pasta and bread. Specialists in nutrition believe that the simple carbs in pasta are rapidly absorbed and healthy in a diet.
When she craves for something that is supposed to be off limits, the actress indulges herself a few bites and then throws away the rest. If that doesn’t work, then she knows the next day it’s sacrifice day. “One night I splurge and have pasta and champagne and finish with a chocolate soufflé. The next it’s a salad for dinner and frozen yogurt for dessert.” Ali Larter follows a Mediterranean style diet and exercises a lot. She eats fruits, vegetables, legumes, nuts, and yoghurts every day.
The actress also tries to introduce in her weekly meals: fish, chicken, and eggs. She likes wine at a meal, but prefers to drink it in moderation.Ali has made a habit out of exercising constantly. The actress runs three-four times a week, for 25 minutes, to stay in shape. She admits never missing a running workout because she knows this burns calories and also helps her feel good about herself.
“Working out has always been a part of my life. Now that I’m in my 30s it’s become even more important for me to take care of myself”, said Ali. “This is non-negotiable. I don’t think about it. I just do it. I never, ever miss my workout,” she added. And neither does her dog, which accompanies her almost everywhere.
