The Hollywood 48 Hour Miracle Diet
By Alice Mitchell, Project Weight Loss Editor
November 27, 2008

Every diet promises miracles, but not in 48 hours. It seems one does and it’s all about the “Miracle Juice”, which can help you lose up to 10 pounds. This juice is supposed to cleanse the body, by detoxifying it and removing the unwanted and unhealthy.

The diet claims to be 100% natural, consisting of a mix of fruits, vitamins, minerals, essential oils, and antioxidants. The diet works because of its special formula, which is scientifically tested. Jamie Kabled, the inventor of the diet, believed this is what people need to be and feel healthier, without having to go to an expensive spa . So, he called it a “health spa in a bottle”.

The miracle juice replaces, for two days, all the food you have in the fridge and which you were planning to eat. This diet aims to not only lose weight , but also to cleanse, and rejuvenate the body, spirit and mind, all together. It’s obvious this is not a long term diet and nutritionists advice those who use it, not to make a habit out of it.

They also say that physically, 10 pounds are impossible to be lost in just two days and that the only things lost will probably be water and muscle mass. This can lead to a slow metabolism. Most nutritionists call is a 2-day juice fasting, which can harm your body system.

So, the universal advice is to think very clearly about the pros and cons of this “miracle juice” and not try it every time you feel bad about yourself.
