Victoria's Secret Angels Reveal: the Fabulous "Fashionholic" Diet
By Alice Mitchell, Project Weight Loss Editor
December 04, 2008

The common belief about models is that they don’t exercise or go on diets. They just starve themselves in order to stay slim. There has been little news about how models stay in shape. Victoria’s Secret Angels reveals their workout routine and talk openly about their diets. So, what diets are they following?

The "angels" prepare their hot bodies by doing cardio and cutting down the carbs. That’s the case of Marisa Miller, Doutzen Kroes and Miranda Kerr, which are the newest model "acquisitions" of the lingerie giant. You can see their "performances" Wednesday night, on CBS .

Parading in underwear for Victoria’s Secret means exposing a flawless, defined body. "There are so many people seeing you live, it's not like a picture when there is Photoshop after,” said 23-year-old model Kroes. She works out very often and her meals don’t ever include sugar or carbs. Her favorite exercise is jumping rope.

Marisa Miller, on the other hand, loves surfing and that’s because she practically grew up on the beach. Being part of the Victoria’s Secret family meant she had to take her lifestyle to the next level. And that meant following a balanced diet , preferably a low fat one, consisting mainly of organic foods.

"When I’m home I cook a lot. I eat often and try to have my largest meal during the day, and then a smaller one at night to maintain a great energy level throughout the day," she said. Marisa’s advice is to avoid processed foods because they are unhealthy and bad for the skin, nails, and hair. As for exercising, aside from surfing, which has, obviously, become a routine, she works out on her stationary bike.

Miranda Kerr is also a fan of healthy lifestyle consisting of good eating habits and regular work out. The one thing she does never forget to include in her diet is green tea, which is supposed to help her lose weight. She also runs, does strength training and boxes. Yoga is also an important part of her program to stay in shape.

Even if they’re models, they do indulge themselves, occasionally, with a piece of dark chocolate or some other sugary “snacks”.
