December 09, 2008She may not be a sex-symbol, but she’s certainly sexy, in that sweet, innocent girl-next-door kind of way. Reese Witherspoon was mostly known, until a few weeks ago, for her part in “Legally Blonde”. Now that “Four Christmases” is No.1 for second week, the box-office winner has got the press noticing not only her acting qualities, but also her fit body.
The 32-year-old actress has always looked good, maintaining her slim Hollywood figure. The downside of her diet was after she divorced Ryan Phillippe. So, post-split she lost the will to exercise and take care of her body. But Reese showed again her determination when she got back to the good old days.
She started a diet and exercised a lot and the result was no surprise, considering her motivation: she lost 10 pounds and got from size six to size two. Talk about recovery. But what was it exactly that she did to shrink so much? Reese’s diet consists of high-fiber foods and a lot of vegetables and fruits.
For instance, she has a muffin for breakfast, then a chicken salad for lunch and some vegetables along with some salmon, for dinner. The actress also exercises. “I like yoga. I run. I go hiking. I'm very active. I like being outside, so California is good. It's warm all the time, “she explains.
She runs three miles every day, but the most interesting thing is that she started going to YogaHop classes, which is a new workout invented by Matthew Reyes, Reese’s personal trainer. Reese goes to YogaHop two or three time a week and works out for an hour and a half. “She’s so dedicated that even when she does yoga or a class, she runs afterward. Running is her therapy and a big part of her life,” said a friend of Reese.
Her personal trainer agrees and says that the actress work very hard when she goes to YogaHop. “Reese is a fantastic student and has been an inspiration for many to embrace my yoga style as a means for fitness without needing a gym,” said her trainer.
