January 05, 2009Kate Winslet hasn’t changed her resolutions for 2009. She’s planning to add some more Oscars to her collection with “Revolutionary Road” and “The Reader” which will be released this month and continue her healthy lifestyle. The actress is playing it simple and “sensible” and has a special trick to stay fit in 2009.
Leonardo Dicaprio is said to have helped Kate get over her obsession with being fat. ”You’ve really got to let the whole fat girl thing go”, he said to her. And she accepted it. 2009 is for Kate the year of wellness and healthy eating habits. Kate Winslet will appear in next month’s U.K. edition of Elle Magazine and she speaks about how she manages to keep her weight under control.
Kate Winslet tells the February issue of the U.K. edition of Elle Magazine that she keeps her body fit by just being sensible. The most important thing to keep in mind is moderation. "I still don't believe this craziness for being skinny, but I eat sensibly and I don't stuff down chocolate biscuits," the actress says.
The secret to her fit body is, surprisingly, not a result of weight training at the gym with her personal trainer. She’s not into Hollywood trends but prefers a simple solution to maintain her weight. "I don't go to the gym because I don’t have time, but I do Pilates workout DVDs for 20 minutes or more every day at home”, she explains.
Her body may be retouched in magazines, but the nude scenes from “The Reader” prove she has a great body and that her trick works. So, for those who plan to lose weight in 2009, Pilates might just be the solution.
