Jessica Alba Explains: How to Have the Fittest Body?

She may not be the greatest actress out there, but she sure has a smoking body. Jessica Alba has been declared Sexiest Woman in the World (FHM), No. 1 Most Desirable Woman in 2006 (AskMen.com), and now Fittest Female Celebrity Body by Heat magazine.  How much is she really working out?

 

Jessica admits she has been on diet since she was 12, because the members of her family were overweight. Her solution was to learn to cook and prepare her own meals in order to eat healthier. “When I eat breakfast, I’ll have an egg-white omelet and fruit, or cottage cheese and a peach. For lunch, I’ll have a salad. Dinner is usually vegetables and chicken or fish,” she said. She snacks frozen yoghurts or dried fruits. Also, the actress avoids eating bread and sweets.

 

She works out every day for at least 45 minutes: treadmill, elliptical machine, lunges, and crunches. “Then I work on shoulders, biceps and triceps. I do that nonstop for four sets. When I work out, I have energy and feel good about myself,” she explains. Jessica also does Thai Bo and kickboxing.

 

 She admits focusing more on what she eats and less on exercise. Both are important but eating healthy is essential, so Jennifer avoids processed foods.  “I don't eat fast food or anything that's packaged or loaded with salt and preservatives. I eat as many organic and fresh foods as possible. I don't cut out cheese, I don't cut out carbs, I just eat fresh foods. It's made a huge difference in how I look and how I feel,” she said.

 

After her pregnancy she lost 25 lbs in a heart beat with the help of trainer Ramona Braganza who has designed a special diet for the actress consisting of healthy foods such as oatmeal, turkey bacon, fish, salads, brown rice and fruits.
