Want to Look Hot Naked? Try Marisa Tomei's Trick
By Alice Mitchell, Project Weight Loss Editor
January 20, 2009

Oscar winner in 1992 for Best Supporting Actress in My Cousin Vinny, Marisa Tomei has come a long way. Now she prefers nude scenes and she wraps up by saying: “There, I’ve done it!”. She’s 44 but Marisa is “still getting it done”. She’s not only daring but also “hotter than ever”, as those from Playboy noticed.

The actress has also has played a nude scene in The Devil Knows You’re Dead which brought her a lot of attention in Hollywood. In the first day she started playing in The Wrestler, she had to convince co-star Mickey Rourke of her charm and skills, so she gave him a naked lap dance on the set. “I'm uncomfortable with exposing myself. But in these films I think what I did was appropriate and I'm proud of it”, she says.

Marisa also said that being nude was weird for her, especially the part where she had to watch herself in the screen. “Now I'm seeming like the actress who does that, which wasn't my intention. It just so happened that the directors were Sidney Lumet and Darren Aronofsky, and I really wanted to work with them”, explained the actress.

Marisa “blames” her parents for her great figure and “nice genes”, as she calls it. Her secret isn’t an unrevealed one, even if it’s not yet trendy in Hollywood: hula hooping. “I have a travel hoop. You can twist it in half but it's adult size, not like a little kids hula hoop. It's really good for your core strength. I'm telling you it really works!” Marisa argued. She says it not only makes her feel good, but it also has a calming effect.  Before starting filming the scenes for The Wrestler, Marisa has cut out pasta from her diet in order to get in shape for her role.

Now that she’s found her weight loss “cure”, Marisa is no longer praying to remain skinny as she used to a few years ago. Also, as she constantly carries her favorite “toy” with her on the set, time for exercise is no longer an issue.
