The Secret to Anne Hathaway's Glow: a Different Diet, a Healthy Diet

Anne Hathaway is a novice on the Academy Award list. She has been nominated for the first time for her performance as a leading actress in “Rachel Getting Married”. Anne is looking thinner and thinner these days but rumors are she’s eating healthier than ever and that she has past the bad eating habits period. But what does healthy mean to Anne Hathaway? She quit smoking, drinking and her diet no longer includes meat and fish. These apparently are to “blame” for her glow. The actress seems to have learned to ignore the Hollywood size-zero pressure and pass on the other side of the gate, choosing a healthy life instead. It wasn’t always her choice to lose pounds over night. Most of the times, she had to suffer a transformation for a part in a movie. For “The Devil Wears Prada, for instance, she had to stick to a fish-vegetables-fruits diet. “I wouldn’t recommend that. Emily Blunt and I would clutch at each other and cry because we were so hungry,” she said. “If you step outside your world and go places where weight isn’t the priority, but eating is, because there’s not enough food, you can’t cry if your thighs aren’t an inch skinnier. Obsessing about weight is a waste of time,” explains the actress. There were also roles for which she had to get toned rather than lose weight. Anne learned a few exercises from her trainer, Braganza, when preparing for her part in “Get Smart”, one of which she recommends. So, in order to get toned, sexy legs, use a chair and “step up leading with your right foot 10 times, and leading with your left foot 10 times for three to five sets. Push through your heel and you get it to work your butt and thigh at the same time,” explains Anne. ©2009 Project Weight Loss. All rights reserved.
