Penelope Cruz just Can't Get Enough of...
By Alice Mitchell, Project Weight Loss Editor
February 25, 2009

Penelope Cruz was named best supporting actress at the Academy Awards for her performance in “Vicky Cristina Barcelona”. Even though she picked up her gown with only eight hours before the ceremony, the beautiful actress is in the top of the most well dressed Hollywood celebrities who participated at the Oscars. But then again, with that body, everything looks great on her. Her secrets?

The actress loves to workout outdoors and, to make it more efficient, she got the help of personal trainer Gunnar Peterson. “Workouts aren’t just about burning calories, they’re about getting in shape for the things you love. Go for a walk with friends, take a dance class, swim laps, or play a game of football. Who says getting fit can’t be fun?,” explains Peterson. Penelope’s fitness routine included the Twisting Lunges, which strengthens her abs and butt.

The 34-year-old actress uses NutriFit to lose weight, when preparing for a part or when she just feels she needs to lose a couple of pounds. This catering service helps the exotic celebrity to control what and when she eats. Penelope loves NutriFit because, apparently, she doesn’t feel like she’s on a diet. The food she’s eating is healthy and includes her favorites: wine and dark chocolate.

“We discourage the over-consumption of alcohol, but studies show that red wine has some protective benefits. Dark chocolate is allowed as long as it’s portion-controlled,” said Jackie Keller, the founder of NutriFit.
