Mandy Moore in Small Portions
By Alice Mitchell, Project Weight Loss Editor
March 12, 2009

Mandy Moore and rocker Ryan Adams eloped yesterday and got married in Savannah, Ga. The 24-year-old singer is a knockout so she can “break your heart any day of the week”, as she says in her new song.  The young Hollywood starlet not only has music, movies, and clothing lines under her belt, but also a good reputation and a great physique.

Mandy follows 5 Factor Fitness, the program created by personal trainer Harley Pasternak. She trains five times a week for at least 25 minutes a day. This way she includes exercise in her every day life but doesn’t overdue it. The 24-year-old sets herself realistic goals when it comes to her diet and workout routine and the results she expects.  Mandy explained she would never sacrifice her health to reach the zero Hollywood size. Moreover, she loves and accepts her natural figure.

She eats healthy food such as sushi, vegetables, and whole-grain pasta. Mandy continues to eat her favorite foods but in small portions. Yes, she’s also following the 5 Factor Diet Plan, which excludes starvation and replaces it with moderation. “I feel better mentally -- even if I don’t look any different -- when I’m putting forth the effort to exercise. But having said that, it’s not going to push me away if I want to have a cookie at the end of the day. You have to reward yourself every now and then,” says Mandy.

Mandy’s workout includes cardiovascular fitness and strength training exercises. After five minutes of cardio warm up, she works her upper body strength for another five minutes, then five minute exercises for her lower body. She finalizes the workout with core and cardio exercises, five minutes each.
