Carmen Electra's Diet Secrets
By Alex Baran, Project Weight Loss Staff Writer
October 12, 2009

Carmen Electra is a sex symbol, great dancer, and a television personality. Envied by many women for her beauty, she decided to let you know some of her secrets.

On a daily basis she eats protein, which she takes primarily from chicken and sushi, according to Associated Content. This is an efficient weight control strategy. Eating proteins you will have a sense of satiety and fullness, making it less likely to overeat something unhealthy later.

Carmen Electra also drinks lots of Coke. She had trouble quitting eight cans of Coke per day. This habit brought too many calories into her diet, not to mention sugar. For those who love Coke, a good advice would be to replace it with unsweetened green tea that can even prevent cancer.

Here are her favorite healthy foods: rice cakes and fruits when she’s in a tropical place or during the summer, admitting they’re a great snack when she’s on a diet. “I like rice cakes. I like the flavored ones, like caramel or cheddar. For some reason I only crave fruit when I’m in a tropical place – if it’s really hot in the summer or if I go to a tropical island for work,” she told OK! magazine.

After trying a no-carb diet, she’s on a “pizza and bread diet.” Of course, for such a body with such a diet, her cardio striptease dance exercises are a must. These exercises are great to burn fat and calories while building lean body mass.

“I think that when I do work out, I have a lot of discipline from my dance background. So I feel okay working out without a trainer. I don’t feel like I need to be pushed. I have a routine that I like and I go by my own pace. If I’m tired and I don’t feel like going, I don’t push myself. I think it’s important to listen to your body,” said Electra.

Carmen Electra has good and bad habits, but I’ll emphasize the good ones: a high protein diet and working out daily are a successful way to lose weight.
