November 25, 2007Many people complain about their regular fitness program because is not showing results and in a while they get bored and give up. This usually happens because they either make some mistakes, or they are no longer motivated to continue. Here are a few tips on how to make a fitness program more efficient, and avoid often mistakes.
Too much and too fast.
The desire to lose as much possible weight in a short period can make people overwork their muscles. Specialists recommend that the fitness program is started with exercises appropriate to your abilities.
Set real goals.
Although you see many commercials saying you may lose thirty pounds in thirty days, this is unreal. Once you start a fitness program, make sure that your goals are achievable.
Routine.
Generally, when people find an exercise attractive, they tend to repeat it over and over again. In order to avoid that, include new exercises in your workout each week.
Incorrect executions.
Incorrect executions appear especially in case of strength exercises. People tend to lift too much, too less, they make too many or too few repetitions, or they don`t rest enough between two sets of exercises. The fitness instructor is the one who can establish a strength workout that includes the type, weight, and number or repetitions and sets.
No stretching?
Stretching may not be on your priorities list when you start your workout, although it should be. Stretching may help you avoid injuries, increases your flexibility, and improves coordination.
A radical weight loss program.
The attempt to use “magic” weight loss pills or bizarre diets in order to lose weight is not only useless, but it may also be dangerous for your health. The healthiest way to lose weight is to work out and have a balanced diet.
Always talk to a specialist before starting a diet or a fitness program.
