Seven Workout Tips from Jessica Biel`s Personal Trainer
By Andrea Pelin, Project Weight Loss Editor in Chief
April 15, 2008

Jason Walsh, Jessica Biel`s personal trainer, talks about a few useful workout tips for those who want to stay in shape:

Tip #1: Do different types of exercises.

Jason is a big fan of recreational sports and outdoor activities. He thinks it's good to avoid monotony by going hiking, or take swimming lessons.

Tip #2: Do exercises for all muscle groups.

People usually work all muscles at once when they move so it is good to do exercises that help you work all muscles.

Tip #3: Make healthy food choices.

A healthy diet is essential for a good weight loss program. Clean foods, amino acid drinks, or high-protein foods are good.

Tip #4: Use the medicine ball.

The medicine ball is great because it makes you do a lunge with a twist while holding it. The exercises with the medicine ball force you to use many muscles at once.

Tip #5: Diets.

Those who want to get in shape should also pay extra attention to their food intake as well. For instance, they may have French toast with eggs and cinnamon in the morning, a mixed-berry protein shake as a snack, some sweet potato tuna melt for lunch, hummus with celery sticks as an afternoon snack, and turkey or chicken breast meatballs with spaghetti for dinner, said Walsh.

Tip #6: Go for Yoga and Pilates, but try lifting weights as well.

Pilates and Yoga offer more stability and balance, but lifting weight may have a bigger effect on the body.

Tip #7: Some fats are good.

Not all fats are bad. For instance, food products rich in omega-3 fatty acids such as coconut oil, walnuts, fish, or olive oil are healthy.
