The Secrets Behind Penelope Cruz's Exotic Figure

She’s known for her exotic look and amazing smile. Penelope Cruz didn’t disappoint her fans a few days ago when she participated at the Times BFI London Film Festival premiere of Vicky Cristina Barcelona, a movie directed by Woody Allen. She was looking phenomenal, as always. How does she keep fit and look so amazing every time she passes a red carpet?

 

The actress, mostly known for her Spanish beauty, used to love junk food. Pizza was always hard to pass, but she also ate mangos and brown rice. Penelope is not really a fan of exercising so she tries to include a smaller amount of carbs in her diet to compensate. "She gets in, gets the work done, gets out," explains her trainer, Gunnar Peterson.

 

Even if working out isn’t Penelope’s thing, her trainer explains she does it because she wants to have a beautiful figure while playing a part in a movie. Peterson says that "workouts aren't just about burning calories, they're about getting in shape for the things you love." An important thing about her lifestyle is that she gets plenty of sleep. Specialists consider this factor a very significant one in having a healthy life. Penelope’s trainer says the actress sleeps more than eight hours a night because when she works out, she’s always rested and dynamic.

 

She works out five days a week and prefers cardio and jogging. Peterson also helps Penelope to keep her body well proportioned by doing adequate exercises and focusing, in every work out, on a different part of the body. The actress has a positive attitude and doesn’t make a big deal or wine after eating junk food. "If she eats fries, then she eats them and moves on to the next thing. It's not a big deal," says her trainer.

 

In the past years, Penelope seems to have recovered from her junk food addiction. She changed her eating habits, stopped smoking and decided to live a healthy life. The actress began her yoga and Pilates classes and focused on losing weight in a healthy way. All considered, Penelope never deprived herself of a glass of wine or a piece of cake, even if in small amounts.

 

This seems to have worked for her because you don’t have to be an expert to notice how great she looks. So, put down those French fries and that hotdog and start eating healthy and you just might look half as good as this exotic beauty.
