Keanu Reeves Reveals: How to Keep in Shape After 40?

Keanu Reeves will next be seen, on December 12, in a new movie called “The Day theEarth Stood Still” . The actor has had a busy career, playing in the famous Matrix trilogy, in Speed, and in The Devil’s Advocate. He is a great actor but also a very sexy man. How does he keep his body in shape?

 

In 1995, Reeves ranked No.17 in an Empire magazine list of 100 Sexiest Stars in Film History. He was also chosen, by People magazine, one of the 50 Most Beautiful People in the World. Even without this, the actor has women fans all over the world that acknowledge his sexiness.

 

The 44-year-old actor eats a balanced diet and uses portion control. Even though it’s not a specific diet he’s following, the actor explains he eats healthy. “I don’t take liberties with what I eat,” he said. Reeves includes in every meal vegetables, rice, pasta, and chicken. He prefers to eat three meals a day, in small but not restrictive portions. He also likes to have a beer or a glass of wine, but only at special occasions.

 

Reeves works out in order to prepare for different parts in movies. For instance, when preparing for “Speed”, he got the help of an Olympic gymnastic trainer to get him in shape for certain scenes. He did both weight training and aerobics in order t get the hunk look he needed.

 

“I play a lot of basketball and ice-hockey, and ride horses at the LA Equestrian Centre in Burbeck. I also like ballroom dancing,” Reeves added. Now that he’s in the 40-50 checkbox, Keanu Reeves has to make extra efforts to keep in shape. But he sees the situation differently. For this hot actor, “turning 40 was like being in a club with a secret handshake.”
