May 27, 2009 President Obama works on his new health reform. He had a good start but now his campaign has difficulties. Mr. President wanted to reduce health costs by $2 trillion, but the antitrust lawyers are against this idea. Even if he doesn’t succeed with this campaign, Barack Obama is a model for US population, promoting health even before being elected as US President.
Mr. President has a daily fitness regime. When he is in Chicago he usually goes 6 days/week to a fitness center where he alternates four days of weight training with two days of cardio. Not to mention that he loves basketball. At the gym he prefers treadmills and weights. As an after work out snack he prefers chocolate roasted-peanut protein bars.
His daily fitness regime is considered a recreation, not a requirement. Being president sure isn’t easy, so this routine is healthy and prevents Obama from health problems (heart attacks). Going to the gym helps him to release stress. It’s also a good place to think without interruptions.
Men's Fitness Magazine named President Obama one of the "25 Fittest Guys in America". No wonder since he works out so intense. He does shoulder and leg presses, one-arm dumbbell curl, and runs on the treadmill.
More than this, Obama declared this month National Physical Fitness and Sports Month. He encouraged participants to engage in minimum 30 minutes of physical activity, 5 days/week, 6-8 weeks.
