Mark-Paul Gosselaar and His Enthusiasm for Track Cycling
By Alex Baran, Project Weight Loss Staff Writer

Mark-Paul Gosselaar stars in “Raising the Bar” as Jerry Kellerman. You can see him on TNT every Monday night. He changed his look by cutting his hair, matter that was a hot topic during season one. Still it’s not just the hair - Mark-Paul Gosselaar has a great body. What just a few of you know is that he likes cycling.

In 2005 Gosselaar competed for track cycling in the Far West Championships. Cycling has lots of benefits like weight management, it improves your mood, your fitness program, it’s good for your heart and maintains strength and coordination. No wonder this actor looks awesome.

You can lose weight cycling because it burns the energy supplied by high calories foods. It also has positive effects on how you feel. Moderate exercise may reduce stress and depression, raising self-esteem.

Being a form of aerobic exercise, cycling reduces the risk of heart disease, obesity, high blood pressure and some form of diabetes. It improves leg strength too, meaning it improves your mobility; e.g. you’ll get out of chair easily and avoid falls – that includes no more broken bones or other injuries.

Another benefit is that you’ll breathe easier since it is a non-polluting sport. In a sunny day you can have your intake of Vitamin D which prevents different types of cancer and osteoporosis. Moderate exercise boosts the immune system; going for an easy ride when you have a common  cold without fever can make you feel better. Plus, when you go for a ride, you sweat and when you sweat, you get rid of toxins.
