Are Madonna's Arms Real?
By Alex Baran, Project Weight Loss Staff Writer
July 30, 2009

Some say they are, but her trainer, Tracy Anderson, says they’re not. Were those photos real? Did she train too much? We’ll find out.

Tracy Anderson is a celebrity fitness trainer who helped Gwyneth Paltrow and Madonna, among other stars. "Madonna doesn't look like that,” she said on "The Early Show" Wednesday. She thinks the photos were tricked and Madonna is “one of the healthiest and strongest people” that she knows.

The trainer developed other kind of treadmill workout - dancing on the treadmill – which she doesn’t find it dangerous at all. This requires a warm up too. The "push-up leap" is an exercise that works your arms and takes your heart rate up. "I also like to change the movements to keep the mind activated as well as the muscles. I like to compare this to an ice skater doing a double axel."

Other specialists say Madonna is finally showing her age. As someone gets older, his skin becomes thinner and because the fat isn’t stored so well, the veins are more visible. Another idea would be she is overtrained.

In the picture where Madonna’s arms appear so strange you’ll see she carries something. Everyone’s arms look different when they carry weights. Also, when you finish working out you’ll see your arms look more masculine.

Madonna also follows a strict macrobiotic diet which may help lose weight and help maintain a healthy lifestyle. The macrobiotic diet is based on grains, vegetables, and sea weeds that should be consumed in their natural condition, without processing. This diet cuts out most sugars and fats.

To avoid overtraining you need a proper nutrition, a balanced workout program, and you must give your body time to rest. Also it is recommended to alternate exercises so you give your muscles a chance to recuperate better.
