Have you ever heard about Tabata? This is one of the best cardio workouts. It is a high intensity fitness program. You will burn fat only when exercise intensity is high, that is why its creator believes Tabata is the fastest way to weight loss. It was named after the Japanese doctor, Izumi Tabata, who studied the impact of high intensity exercise on fat burning. Tabata Protocol means 20 seconds of maximum intensity exercise followed by a rest of 10 seconds. You need to repeat the sequence 7-8 times which equals to four minutes of training. Celebrities and athletes maintain their body fit and lose weight by following this type of workout. High-class athletes use this protocol for different types of exercises involving different muscle groups in one session with 3 to 4 minutes of recovery time between each exercise.
Getting started with Tabata. For a beginner, Tabata will start with seven minutes. Three minutes of warm-up, 2 intervals of 30 seconds each, 20 seconds of exercise and 10 seconds of rest, and the last two minutes for cool-down. Repeat this plan three days a week and you will gradually increase the strength of your heart and lungs.
The selected exercises should stimulate large muscle groups or various muscle groups because in this way you will burn fat faster. For the first 20 seconds make as many repetitions of the selected exercise as possible. Then rest for 10 seconds and start again the same pattern. After two intervals measure your heart rate having a timer set at 30 sec. Your maximum heart rate is calculated as 220 minus your age. At the end of the workout calculate again your heart rate, which will be the recovery heart rate. If it goes down, this means you should increase the tension. If you want results perform it correctly and put maximum effort in these four minutes of work. Very important to remember is that this workout can be performed only on cardio equipment, not with weights.
Looking younger and living longer is everyone’s wish. Tabata makes this possible, according to its author. According to a study published on Plos ONE Online, high intensity fitness routine correlates to longer telomeres. Now you have all the advantages of starting the world’s greatest workout. Please consult a specialist before starting a new fitness or diet program.
