Janet Jackson May be in the Hospital Because of her Yoyo Diet
By Alice Mitchell, Project Weight Loss Editor
October 01, 2008

Janet Jackson, the well known pop star, has cancelled her concert in Montreal due to health problems.  She was rushed to the hospital before the performance even started.  This is not the first gig, from her North American tour, she cancels.  There was also one in Detroit, last week, when she invoked “production constraints”.
Recently, the 42-year-old singer gained some weight.  In the media, there has been rumored that Janet has an eating disorder.  All in all, she’s caused quite a stir with her yo-yo diet, amazing abs and different tips to keep in shape.

Janet’s workout, designed by Tony Martinez, her personal trainer, is a very intense one.  Her routine includes:  upper body work and legs, twice a week, 5-6 days of cardiovascular exercise, from running, to basketball and kickboxing.  Obviously, the workout includes 3 days of abs training, and rough, I assume.  When it came to food, it seems she only ate meals that were sent, every day, to her.  So, we may say she lost weight by being a good girl and listening to her trainer, without going for a piece of chocolate.

What she ate, we don’t know, but there, probably, weren’t many calories in her plate if she managed to lose 60 pounds.Let’s just say that that is not the big issue.  Articles about diet and workout plans designed by experts are easy to find.  The thing is the lack of determination and motivation.  A weight loss plan is too difficult to complete, we often say.

The singer is a well known yo-yo dieter, which means she passes from one phase to another.  There are months in which she eats everything she gets her hands on, and months in which she has a strict diet and eats only salads, fruits and drinks a lot of water.  Now she’s the gaining weight phase.  The pop singer doesn’t work out as much as before and she eats more calories than she can actually burn.  This is what, experts believe, defines Janet’s “health problem”.   Her promoter said the concert in Montreal will take place as soon as Janet gets back on her feet.
