January 26, 2009Your body needs certain bacteria that improves digestion and maintains the nutritional balance. That bacteria is found especially in yogurt.
Yogurt also contains vitamin B2, vitamin B12, magnesium, calcium, and potassium. If consumed daily, yogurt can prevent the development of osteoporosis. Yogurt consumption helps control the blood pressure, according to recent studies conducted in Spain. The daily consumption of yogurt may reduce the risk of high blood pressure with fifty percent, showed the study`s results.
When buying yogurt, make sure it is fresh. Its properties may be affected by long-term storage. You may choose low-fat yogurt but always be aware of its active ingredients, especially if you have gastric problems. If you add a teaspoon of flax to your yogurt, you’ll add to your diet two grams of extracts rich in omega-3 fatty acids and three grams of fibers.
