March 06, 2009Johnny Depp will be starring in the drama “Public Enemies", directed by Michael Mann, which will be launched in July. Even if he’s shortened the length of his hair, fans still consider him a sex symbol, and can’t wait to see him on the big screen. He may be 46, but he looks 30. What’s his youth secret?
This hot actor is on the right track. He says having a healthy life is what keeps him young. Johnny ‘s diet is a low-calorie one. His food must be low-fat, low-sodium, and he avoids dressings. For instance, when he was in filming Vancouver, he requested a fridge filled with strawberries, blueberries, pineapple, kiwi, and soy milk. Also, his meals consisted of chicken breast, hard-boiled eggs, and tuna in spring water.
And with the decision of improving his lifestyle came the cutting back on smoking, as it was one of his habits. He replaced that with exercise of any kind. “I’ve been cutting down on my smoking, so you’ve got to do something to keep yourself active and overcome your nicotine deficit. Instead of having a cigarette, you dive in the swimming pool - or some other healthy activity,” he said.
To stay in shape, his room was equipped with a treadmill, a stability ball, and dumbbells.
“It must be clean living! I don’t know. I did a lot of sword-fighting training for Pirates Of The Caribbean. Learning to sword fight is a total body workout without any breaks. After 10 minutes, you’re ready to collapse. All that training made it mentally easier for me to want to stay fit,” explained Johnny. His motivation is simple: “ I do feel pleased that I’m in better physical shape because I’m a dad and I’ve got two kiddies who are rapidly growing up.
