Emma Watson Takes Care of Her Health
By Alex Baran, Project Weight Loss Staff Writer
July 09, 2009

In the fall the actress from Harry Potter movies, Emma Watson, will attend Brown University from Providence, Rhode Island.  She’s going to be quite busy – a new Harry Potter movie is coming out.  “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince” will be released on July 15.  A celebrity life can be stressful, so how does she take care of her health?

According to Grazia magazine, Emma doesn’t diet.  "It's just not something that I aspire to, to be super-skinny.  [...]  It's not inspirational at all for me. I'm lucky that I'm this size naturally. I don't diet...I love chocolate and pasta and I love baking. I make a great raspberry amaretto cake."

The actress is also a sports fan:  "I feel the most pretty when I come off the pitch after a field hockey game and I've got pink cheeks and bright eyes. Sport really makes me feel good about myself."

It doesn’t mean if Emma’s naturally thin she doesn’t know with what are confronting other girls.  "There is so much pressure on girls our age to be smart and pretty and funny and skinny - they have to be everything," said Emma.  "I definitely know what that pressure is like, but my philosophy is to eat what you like and be healthy and exercise."

Body dysmorphic disorder is a chronic mental illness that makes you think all the time at your appearance.  That’s not all – you have the wrong impression you don’t look good even if that’s not true or there’s a minor flaw.  It is an obsession over your appearance and body image.

The symptoms of body dysmorphic disorder include anxiety, social and family withdrawal, alcohol and/or drug abuse, compulsive mirror checking, glancing in reflective surfaces, excessive dieting or exercising and so on.

If it is not treated, this disease can worsen with time and last a lifetime.  As treatment you should go to the doctor for a Cognitive Behavior Therapy or Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitor drugs.

It is important to have a balance in your life.  To achieve your weight loss goals you have to take it one step at a time.  That’s the healthy way to look good.
