February 27, 2008After parting ways with Jenny Craig, Kirstie Alley announced she will launch her own weight loss program in 2009. Alley wants to develop a new weight loss program that will help millions of people get rid of the extra fat. Although Alley considers her experience with Jenny Craig as “extraordinary,” she is no longer the spokesperson of Jenny Craig Company.
Kirstie Alley managed to lose seventy-five pounds with the Jenny Craig weight loss program. This program is based on the standard dietary guidelines set by the U.S. government and promotes an active lifestyle and a healthy nutrition, according to dietitians.
The recommended diet for this weight loss program includes single serving foods called “Jenny Cuisine,” pre-made meals sold by Jenny Craig. Next to the pre-packaged meals, dieters may have fruits, vegetables, or low-fat dairy products.
People who want to follow the Jenny Craig weight loss program should know that when they have lost half of the extra-weight, they can go back to eating regular foods again. This weight loss program also includes exercises, more than thirty minutes of physical activity per day.
Those who are enrolled in a Jenny Craig weight loss program also get their own “personal consultant.” Dieters can get assistance at the local Centre, do the program at home using the Jenny Direct At-Home Program, or get consultations via telephone. The main purpose of these consultations is to set the week`s challenges, menu plan, and review the successes.
The membership fees for the Jenny Craig program are between $20 and $50 per month. In addition, the food also costs up to $14 per day.
