March 20, 2009Some people try the most unusual methods to lose weight and stay in shape in order to stay in the lights. For instance, Salma Hayek is also resorting to extreme measures when it comes to losing the weight gained during pregnancy. Once she found out that breastfeeding is a good way to lose weight after giving birth, the actress started to use an “industrial-size breast pump”. When Salma is not feeding Valentina Paloma, she is pumping milk and freezing it, according to a friend of the actress.
Miss America Kirsten Haglund was diagnosed with anorexia only three years ago when her parents were concerned about her health and “dragged” her to the doctor. The newly crowned Miss America plans to promote healthy living, and raise awareness of exercise and eating disorders.
Kelly Clarkson admitted she had a struggle with fluctuating weight. Plus, the star was bulimic in high school for a period of time. However, Kelly has now accepted her body for what it is.
The stress seems to keep Renee Zellweger in shape, according to the actress. Zellweger had a high-calorie diet in order to gain weight for her role in the “Bridget Jones” movies and she loved it, but the actress soon lost the weight by going to the gym. Working out is just a way to relieve the stress and she`s not on a fitness regime, she said.
Amy Winehouse may also have an eating disorder since her diet includes mostly lollipops and she seems quite skinny.
Another example of extreme weight loss is Nicky Hilton, Nicole Ritchie, Courtney Love, and Christian Bale. Although Angelina Jolie lost some weight, especially after her mother`s death, she asked people not to encourage and compliment underweight women.
