Diet Suggestions from the Rich and Famous
By Andrea Pelin, Project Weight Loss Editor in Chief
April 15, 2008

Sarah Jessica Parker said she has a healthy lifestyle and does not need to watch her weight.  Sarah said she prefers to take a walk instead of taking the car, and does not have a specific fitness program. However, she tries to add as much physical activity to her life as possible.

The Zone diet is probably Sarah`s favorite diet since she eats regular portions of high-protein foods. However, while the Zone diet may lead to weight loss, it is poor in carbohydrates. A menu sample for the Zone diet includes a glass of tea with sugar for breakfast, fried eggs and bacon for lunch, and roast lamb for dinner.

For those who were wondering how Madonna stays in shape, you may want to know that she follows the Macrobiotic diet, which is more like a diet philosophy rather than a proper diet. The Macrobiotic diet is based on the theory that low-calorie foods along with eating only when hungry can keep you in shape.  A menu sample for the Macrobiotic diet includes porridge oats with water for breakfast, watercress soup for lunch, and green lentils, sautéed white fish, or brown rice for dinner.

Jennifer Aniston likes the Atkins diet, which is based on high-protein, low-carb foods. Jennifer lost almost thirty pounds with the Atkins diet.  That diet encourages cutting down on potatoes, bread, rice, fruits, vegetables, or pasta.  The downside is that it may harm the kidneys, and as such it is not highly recommended.

A menu sample for the Atkins diet may include a fat-free muffin with plain yogurt, and diced fruits. Lunch may consist of a salad with low-fat dressing and low-fat cheese, while dieters may have for dinner some fish and vegetables.
