Keira Knightley: Truly Thin or Anorexic?
By Neil Stadford, Project Weight Loss Editor Diet
May 15, 2008

Keira Knightley, the 22-year-old Hollywood actress, best known for her role in the Pirates Of The Caribbean franchise, has been subject for many stories. But one story in particular drawed all attention towards her. When she appeared at a premiere in a bronze Gucci dress, looking thinner than ever, everyone began to wonder if she has any health problems.

Questions came up one by one, and when first asked about her condition, Keira responded: ”Whatever people say about my weight, they are all wrong”.
But the statement was not convincing at all. On the contrary, the more she denied it, the more people became convinced that she had serious health problems.

All the clues indicated anorexia. So, she was once again approached by the press with new questions. When she was asked about her thoughts on being called anorexic, she was really surprised, claiming she doesn’t even have an eating disorder.
She assured everyone that there is nothing to worry about, because she has a lot of experience with anorexia. She admitted that there was indeed anorexia in her family; both her grandmother and great-grandmother had it.

She also claimed that a lot of her friends suffered from it, making it impossible for her to be unaware of all the simptoms and all the risks. ”I know it’s not something to be taken lightly, and I don’t,” she said. Although she was quite sure that anorexia was not her problem, her weight continued to raise questions. People saw her getting thinner and thinner day by day. Getting tired of hearing about this, she ended up saying that she doesn’t really eat much, because that’s her nature, not because she’s sick. But whatever she has to say, doctors are worried, claiming that she is about twenty pounds underweight, which is a very dangerous problem for the body, especially at this age.
