Brad Pitt: Super-Fit Hollywood Heartthrob
By Neil Stadford, Project Weight Loss Editor Diet
June 03, 2008

Brad Pitt has always been more than merely good-looking. He has been and still is considered by many women one of the most handsome men in the world, a true sex symbol. But that doesn’t mean that the Hollywood star never requires special training or a diet in order to maintain his physique or to prepare for an important role.

On the contrary, diet and training was always vital for Brad.
Usually, he never had a problem with maintaining his normal conditions. But there were some special cases which required much more than that. One of this cases was when Brad needed to get ready for his role in one of the biggest action movies ever, Troy. He really called it a challenge.

First of all, he had to give up cigarettes, which was quite hard. He sharply cut back on beer, chips and other fast food products also. On some occasions, however, he allowed himself a special treat. McFlurry from McDonald’s was always like a little taste of home for him. Besides all of this, a low carb, high-protein diet was perfect during his training routine.

On the physical part, Brad needed a whole year of very intense training in order to be ready for his role. He specifically mentioned that the first three months were not fun, they were daunting in fact. His special program included two or three hours in the gym and two more hours of sword work. He ate four meals a day.

For his amazing physical results, Brad used the following workout routine. Monday he worked for the chest. Exercises included push ups, nautilus press and pecs deck machine. Tuesday was the back, with pull ups, seated rows and lat pull downs. Wednesday was for shoulders, with Arnold press, laterals and front raises. Thursday, biceps and triceps, with nautilus curl machine, hammer curls and push downs. Finally, Friday was dedicated to forty-five minutes of treadmill. Saturday and Sunday, off.
