July 14, 2008Angelina Jolie gave birth to perfectly healthy twins on Saturday night. Fame isn`t for everyone, but it looks like it was made for the Brangelina twins.
The actresses’ obstetrician, Dr. Michel Sussman, declared that everyone “is marvelously well." Angelina gave birth to her children due to a caesarean procedure, the interval between the twins birth being only one minute. Knox Leon was reported to weigh five pounds and Vivienne Marcheline 5.02 pounds.
The mayor of Nice announced last week, even before the twins were born that they will be named honorary citizens of the town of their birth, Nice. Knox Leon and Vivienne Marcheline will be always welcomed with opened arms in the city of Nice.
"That is for the citizens of Nice a very great honor and a great satisfaction. We are very happy for this choice of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt and I want to say to them that I wish a lot of joy to them and the babies, and great success for all of their lives.”, according to the mayor of Nice.
The newborns are the ultimate million – dollars babies, as their pictures were sold for fifteen million dollars. "In the celebrity world, it seems to be the double second coming," said Darryn Lyons, owner of Big Pictures, a photo agency in London.
Angelina Jolie will still be under medical observation for a couple of days. She is resting at the fifth floor behind blue mirrored windows which provide shelter for the famous family from the famous twins snap – shot seekers. Since Saturday the paparazzi have been all around Lenval hospital in France.
The little girl`s name Marcheline comes from Angelina`s mother, Marcheline Bertrand, who died last year in January after a long and terrible fight with cancer. Hopefully, the new born twin will inherit the looks and talent of her mother and grandmother.
Speculations about the children`s names were made but, the choice of the names can be explained only by the parents. Let`s all welcome with open arms the Brangelina new – born twins!
