May 25, 2009 Susan Boyle won first “Britain's Got Talent” semi-final with "Memory" from Cats. No matter how much pressure was from the press, she didn’t change a bit and still won. That’s called self confidence and it’s very important in life. Why is that? Coming up next.
This victory is very important for Susan because it would "prove that I am a worthwhile person." One thing is sure – people love her since she won the popular vote. More than ever she trusts in herself.
Don’t let people tell you what to do. Make your own decisions so you can be yourself. "Most people are other people. Their thoughts are someone else's opinions, their lives a mimicry, their passions a quotation" once said Oscar Wilde.
No matter what money, fame, or happiness someone has, you should be yourself. On the way achieving that you might lose those things that make you unique. "If God had wanted me otherwise, He would have created me otherwise" said Johnn von Goethe.
What do you think of your body? It’s yours no matter how it looks like. Body image is very important for some people, but they want so bad to become like someone else that they confront bulimia, anorexia or other diseases.
Are you scared? It’s ok to be from time to time. Do you think Susan Boyle wasn’t scared at least once in her life? I bet she was, but she believed in herself and look where she is now. Use your fear to transform your life, but sit with your feet on the ground. Be yourself – it’s for the best!
