July 20, 2009 Rutina Wesley plays the character Tara in “True Blood” series. Even if she was abused by her mother, Tara goes on staying at Sookie. Enough about Tara – let’s talk about Rutina’s lifestyle.
Rutina Wesley likes to spend her time with husband and their kitty, according to an interview she gave to TrueBloodNet.com. Born in Las Vegas and helped by her parents, Rutina studied hard and received her BFA in Theatre Performance in 2001. Now she lives in New York, her favorite charity being Save Darfur – she played “In Darfur” at the Public Theater.
The actress takes good care of her body. She never forgets to wash her face, after a working day. “Wash your face, wash your face, wash your face! No matter how tired you are at the end of the day, wash your face! And moisturize and use sunscreen!” said Rutina.
It’s hard to look good in public, so here are 7 steps to a shiny face:
Clean it twice a day
Depending on your skin, choose a product that you’ll use twice a day to fight the common skin problems.
Facial hair
It’s important to take care of your eyebrows. Before you trim the eyebrows take a wash cloth soaked in warm or hot water and press the eyebrows. Also you may want to groom your upper lip and chin hair.
Moisture
Keep your skin soft and glowing by using moisture. A dry skin needs moisturing ASAP.
Lots of water
Your body needs to be well hydrated to remove wastes and oils from your face. It is recommended to drink lots of water.
Take your hands off
You have oils on your hands, so if you touch your face you’ll end up increasing blemishes. Don’t mess with acne. Your pillow case should be changed often.
Don’t forget the lips
Moisturize your lips – wipe them with a sugar-and-water solution. Sugar removes dead cells. Also, you may want to use a lip hydrator.
Sun protection
Use sunblock cream every day. During summer you can wear hats to protect yourself. The alternative is sunscreen or makeup with sunscreen in it.
Rutina Wesley also exercises 20 minutes a day. “I also like to try and do 20 minutes of cardio a day to stay healthy…and not eat at “In and Out” as often as I’d like!” she said.
