Jeremy Piven's Diet: A Great Look for an Entourage Emmy winner
By Alex Baran, Project Weight Loss Staff Writer
August 03, 2009

Jeremy Piven stars as Ari on the HBO TV series “Entourage”. After changing his habits, the actor looks better than ever. Is he on a diet? Yes – but which one?

Piven had to give up fish. He told PEOPLE “I haven't had a piece of fish since the doctor told me to lower my blood mercury level. […] It's a man-made problem. It's all the mercury being dumped. Women shouldn't eat tuna, especially when you're pregnant.”

The actor explains you have to take a break once in a while when you’re working hard, otherwise your body can’t keep up with you. Even though he loves sushi, on the advice of his doctor, he learned to balance his diet.

“You just change your life and kind of do it. It wasn't necessarily the sushi. It was just a steady diet of fish. Twice a day for 20 years. That's not right for anyone,” learned Piven after fish poisoning, thinking a diet based on fish is good for the body, but forgetting all the bad things some people throw in the nature.

Of course, if you want to look good and stay healthy, it’s not enough just to diet. Exercising is needed too. That’s exactly how Jeremy Piven does it – besides his fish-free diet, the actor does jogging, paddle boarding, and yoga.

As the actor says, everything happens with a reason and you need to learn from your mistakes. "All of these things happen to make us better. So, you've got to embrace that."
