The Amazing Cher and Her Great Body

Cher never ceases to amaze people and she did just that at the MTV Video Music Awards.  At 64, she wore a see-through black body stocking.  She wore the same suit when she sang “If I Could Turn Back Time” in 1992.  Based on how she looked, it seemed like she did turn back time.  She looked great 18 years ago and she looks great now. 



She says as she gets older, it gets harder and harder to fit into her outfits but she still does it.  Cher said that when it’s time for her to lose weight she is completely dedicated and is conscious about everything she eats.  She puts herself on an exercise plan and eats seven small meals a day. 

 

Some think seven meals a day is too much but it works if you do it right.  Some dieters fail because they don't eat enough.  To compensate for being nutrient deprived, their bodies store fat and therefore they don't lose weight.  With seven small meals a day, you keep your metabolism working. 

 

Some experts say that we should all eat a meal within an hour of getting out of bed, then every three hours after that, quitting three hours before bedtime.  Meal frequency is very important in your diet.  Eating seven proper, nutritious meals a day takes work, among which is time commitment.  You definitely need to plan ahead.  This could mean shopping and cooking most of your food once a week, separating your meals and carrying them to work or wherever you go. 

Cher is very much about working out, she even produced work-out DVDs. 

Cher is not the only star in her sixties who looks great.  Jane Fonda is back in the fitness business at 72.  Almost 30 years after her first aerobics video, Jane Fonda is releasing two work-out DVDs designed for pensioners.
