November 21, 2008Jennifer Garner, the onetime "Alias" star, won the restraining order she was fighting for. The actress said that, for the last six years, a blogger has been "stalking and harassing". No wonder, considering how she looks.
Five years ago Jennifer transformed herself from just an actress to a toned machine. She got the help of Valeria Waters, a famous personal trainer, which recommended her a healthy regimen and a workout program.
The 36-year-old actress said she prefers eating four to five times a day, almost every three hours, in order to get the energy she needs during the busy days on the set. She relies on morning and afternoon snacks to boost her metabolism. Her trainer specified that Jennifer never misses breakfast.
Also, the actress carries snacks with her when she’s going to work to make sure she’s going to eat healthy. "If you let yourself get ravenous, it's hard to be rational and not eat the first thing in sight. When you're really hungry, you crave cookies, breads and pasta--foods that the body can break down quickly into sugar for an energy boost, “explains her trainer.
Jennifer pays a lot of attention to her diet. "I really try to watch what I eat most of the time, but if I'm at a dinner party or event, I'll eat what's offered and I don't beat myself up over it. I may have a piece of bread, enjoy a glass of wine or a small portion of dessert, but I'll try not to do all three. And then I make sure to get back on track the next day with my usual eating plan, “says Garner.
Garner’s favorite snack is crunchy celery dipped in almond butter, which contains protein and gives her energy. She uses portion control when it comes to dessert. "At every meal I pretty much have dessert, but not a lot, just one little square of chocolate, “admits Garner. All in all, the actress includes her dessert in the 1.600 calories a day plan.
