Stephanie Powers' Favorite Foods
By Alex Baran, Project Weight Loss Staff Writer

Stefanie Powers, well known for her role in “Hart to Hart”, a popular 1980s crime drama has an Emmy Award-nomination and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The actress looks great even now. What is she eating?

When she thinks at a perfect hotel room service romantic dinner she wants caviar with Bellinis, baked potato, or whipped cream, without missing the champagne. Stefanie’s favorite name for a food dish is “Ma Po Dough Fu”, a spicy Szechuan bean curd.

Since she likes caviar I’ll present you a low-fat and low-calorie recipe: red potatoes with caviar and cheese, 12 servings.

Ingredients:

3 tablespoons of cream cheese

1 tablespoon of black lumpfish caviar

1 tablespoon of low-fat buttermilk

1 teaspoon of chopped dill

12 new red potatoes, scrubbed

Instructions:

Cook on high the potatoes, in a shallow microwavable container, in a single layer, until fork-tender. It will take about 3 minutes. Another way is to cook them at 350o for 20 minutes.

Cut the potatoes in half and place them on a platter, cut-side down. Using a melon baller or a spoon, make in the top of every potato a small well.

Next, mix in a small bowl the buttermilk and cream cheese until smooth. Take a rubber spatula and fold in the caviar and the dill.

Coming back to the potatoes, dollop about 3/4 teaspoon of the mixture you made before into the well of every potato.

You have to admit Stefanie Powers has pretty good tastes. Caviar is good because the eggs contain omega-3 acids and it may also be good for the skin. Potatoes helps to lower cholesterol and slow down digestion, making you feel full for longer.
