A Healthy Low-Carb Dessert Recipe
By Alex Baran, Project Weight Loss Staff Writer
July 10, 2009

This is an elegant low-carb dessert recipe with fresh fruits: strawberry cheesecake low-carb french crepes. This recipe was created by the Low-Carb Connoisseur.

Ingredients:

3/4 cup with sugar substitute

4 tablespoons of granulated sugar

1/4 teaspoon of salt

2 1/2 cups with fresh, washed and slice strawberries

2 cups with all-purpose flour

1 cup with milk

4 tablespoons of sugar free strawberry syrup

6 tablespoons of butter, melted

1/2 teaspoon of fresh lemon juice

1 teaspoon of vanilla extract

8 ounces softened cream cheese

3 eggs

Instructions:

Process the butter, flour, 4 tablespoons of granulated sugar, salt, and eggs in a blender until you get a smooth mixture. Add the milk 1/3 cup at once to make the batter a liquid consistency. Set it aside for about 20 minutes.

Melt a little butter in a large skillet or crepe pan over low-medium heat. Next add 3 tablespoons of batter to it and swirl until the pan has the bottom with batter. Cook it for 1 minute, put it on a plate and continue with the rest of the batter.

After you have finished the crepes stir berries, sweetener, and syrup together until they are well blended. This is the topping.

Next blend cream cheese, sweetener, vanilla extract, and lemon juice until they get smooth and fluffy. Fold in berries and the filling is ready.

Put whatever amount of filling you want in the crepes, roll up and top with sauce.

You should have 6 servings with about 3.5g carbs per serving.
