Even if she’s born and raised in London, Alesha Dixon’s tasty habits are Jamaicans. Usually Jamaican people are warm, naturally kind, friendly, and amusing. The British singer showed she’s a true Jamaican through her eating habits and helping people. What’s her favorite food? Who did she help?

Jamaicans are warm, naturally kind, friendly, and amusing people. The British singer showed she has Jamaican roots by helping people and preferring her nana’s foods.

 

 

 

Alesha supports a campaign of Ronald McDonald House Charities. Paul and Miranda Rowlands, along with their son, Sam, have tried to raise money for the foundation. They had a tragedy in their family, their daughter Alice died because of acute liver failure. According to Evening News 24, Alesha signed for them a picture. With her backing for their campaign, Rowlands should raise the money easier.

 

Now that you know whom Alesha helped, let’s see what her favorite food is. I’ve already given you a clue – Jamaican habits. Well, according to “HELLO!” the singer said: “You can't beat home-cooked Jamaican food. My nan cooks me oxtail. I love oxtail. And white rice and coleslaw. And curry goat! Oh, I've got to go round and see my nan… her home cooked food is really the best!”

 

The Jamaican oxtail recipe may be one of the most delicious recipes around the world, so I’m putting it here, so you can try it.

 

Ingredients

1 tablespoon of soy sauce

¼ teaspoon of black pepper

¼ teaspoon of salt

½ tablespoon of thyme leaves

¼ teaspoon of allspice

3 cups of ox tail, chopped

½ cup of scallion, minced

½ cup of onions, minced

1 cup of broad beans

¼ cup of garlic, minced

½ cup of carrots, chopped

¼ cup of vegetable oil

 

Instructions

Season the chopped ox tail with seasoning; then allow marinating for more than an hour. Cook broad beans in a large frying pan, until soft, after which add carrots, ox tail, and soy sauce. It’s well cooked when meat and carrots are tender. Serve while it’s hot.

 

Using unprocessed foods is what makes Jamaican cuisine healthy. It is a mix of Indian, African, European, and Chinese cuisines that teaches people how to build an incredible relationship between food and health.
