Mariah Carey is crazy about Italian specialties. She cares about her body, so she doesn’t allow herself to eat her favorite food. What’s that?

The singer loves pizza, but she can’t eat this food, according to HELLO! . “My favourite food is pizza, but I'm not allowed to eat it” said Mariah, thinking about her famously curvy figure. Well, you can cheat on your diet once in a while, but do it wisely. For that, I’m presenting you a basic low fat pizza dough recipe and then a low fat topping.

Preparing the dough, 4 servings

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of lukewarm water
  • 2 tablespoons of dried yeast
  • 1 lb of whole meal four
  • 1 oz of soy flour

Instructions

Start by mixing the water with the yeast; then mix the flours and pour over the previous mixture. Mix them well and knead for almost 10 minutes; by then the mixture should be smooth and elastic. After you place it into a covered bowl, let it rise for about 30 minutes.

Preparing the smoked bacon and pumpkin pizza, 4 servings

Ingredients

  • 1 handful rocket
  • 1 medium red onion, sliced
  • 400g of pumpkin, peeled, chopped
  • 80g of low fat tasty cheese, grated
  • The above pizza dough
  • 3/4 cup of Old El Paso BBQ bacon salsa
  • 4 rashers of shortcut, trimmed of fat bacon, rind
  • 2 tablespoon of black pitted olives in brine, sliced

Instructions

Preheat oven to 200oC. Until then mix the onion and pumpkin in a medium bowl. Spray with cooking spray and toss. Next bake the veggies until tender – it shouldn’t take more than 20 minutes. After you increase temperature to 220oC, place the pizza dough on an oven tray and spread it with salsa. Arrange the onion, pumpkin, and bacon over the top, in the end sprinkling with the olives and cheese. Bake until the dough is crisp and the cheese is well melted.

This pizza is low fat and includes niacin, iron, zinc, vitamin B1, and magnesium. Enjoy!
