Try This Healthy Energy Shake

 Sport drinks are way better than brightly colored, sugar drinks. If you want to work out safe, consider sport drinks important. I’ll explain below.

Healthy exercises require hydration, so these drinks are important. Also, after workout, your body needs proteins and carbohydrates. The solution is a protein shake.

Carbs replenish supply of glycogen, meaning they “fuel” your muscles for training. Proteins help muscles too – they’re needed for repairing muscles after strenuous exercise, according to Seattle Times Newspaper.

Here is a recipe for Blueberry-Pomegranate Protein Smoothie, which is great for boosting with health after a fitness routine:

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of pomegranate juice;
  • 1 cup of frozen blueberries;
  • 8 ounces of extra-soft silken tofu;
  • 1 medium ripe banana;
  • 1 tablespoon of toasted wheat germ;
  • 1 - 2 tablespoons of honey.

Instructions

Cut the banana into 1-inch pieces. Then put them into a blender along with the tofu, blueberries, honey, wheat germ, and pomegranate juice. Blend until they get smooth and creamy.

If you don’t serve it right away, you can keep it to fridge, but no more than six hours.
