Aqua-fitness and Its Benefits

Fitness in water a water pool, known as aqua-fitness, has no side effects no matter if you`re sedentary, active, older, very young, pregnant or overweight. It`s a complex sport that makes all your muscles work. Basically, aqua-fitness means doing the exercises you otherwise do, while in a water pool.

What is the difference between fitness in water and regular fitness? The first one is easier, more efficient, pleasant, and has no risks compared to the other type of fitness. A few extra-pounds may hurt during the regular fitness workout, but in case of aqua-gym the pressure is off the joints and spine because the water takes seventy percent of the body weight.

Plus, the water has 800 times higher pressure than the air and that is why it actions like a massage and improves blood circulation. Half an hour of aqua-gym is the equivalent of one hour spend at the gym and helps you lose 500 calories.

Two or three sessions per week for no less than two months are enough in order to see results. Your muscles will be stronger, you will breathe easier, and your physical condition will improve. Aqua-gym is not the only sport that can be practiced in water.

For instance, Woga is a combination of yoga exercises meant to teach you how to breathe and increase flexibility. On the other hand, Aquafin is increasing the difficulty of exercises. The water resistance is increased due to special equipments attached to the feet. This way, the movements are more difficult and the workout more intense.

In case of Aquawal it`s all about walking in the water and it has the role to strengthen thighs and shank muscles. It may be practiced in rivers or at the seaside. Aquaspinning, Aquakickboxing, or Aquadance are also interesting water sports that may help you lose weight easily.
