Brad Pitt got ready for his role in the movie Troy through an intense workout program and a balanced diet. Here are some of the weight loss tips he followed.

Brad gained ten pounds of muscle using a high-protein, low-carb diet during an intense year of training for the movie Troy. Brad had two meals per day, spent up to three hours in the gym and two hours of sword training. Here is Brad`s intense workout routine:

On Monday, Brad would work on his chest muscles. He had three sets of up to thirty reps of push ups, three sets of up to thirty reps of nautilus press, three sets of up to thirty reps of nautilus incline press, three sets of up to thirty reps of pecs deck machine.

On Tuesday, Brad followed a workout program with exercises for the back. He had three sets of up to thirty reps of pull ups, three sets of up to thirty reps of lat pull downs, three sets of up to thirty reps of seated rows, and three sets of up to thirty reps of T bar rows.

Brad worked on his shoulders on Wednesday. Brad usually did three sets of up to thirty reps of laterals, three sets of up to thirty reps of Arnold press, and three sets of up to thirty reps of front lifts.

On Thursday he did three sets of up to thirty reps of ez curls cable, three sets of up to thirty reps of push downs, three sets of up to thirty reps of nautilus curl machine, and three sets of up to thirty reps of hammer curls.

On Friday, he spent almost forty-five minutes on the treadmill, while on Saturday and Sunday he was on a break.

However, Brad also allowed himself an occasional treat: McFlurry shakes from McDonald`s.
