Charlize Theron and Her Semi-Vegetarian Diet
By Alice Mitchell, Project Weight Loss Editor
November 11, 2008

Charlize Theron will be staring in a movie produced by Nicole Kidman, called “The Danish Girl”.  The controversy is that these two actresses will play man and wife. Now, the question is: who will play the man and who the wife?  It’s no wonder Nicole picked Charlize as she won an Oscar for her part in “Monster” and she looked stunning at the awards.

Charlize Theron has had the chance to be a supermodel but she turned it down because she just didn’t want to be another supermodel on a restrictive “one-apple-a-day” diet.  “I had the capability to be a bigger model that I was.  They were always telling me, ‘lose five pounds and you’ll be a supermodel’,” said the actress. Charlize also added that “it’s naive and sweet that people think weight gain constitutes acting.”

The 33-year-old actress stays toned and fit by eating healthy and exercising.  She is semi-vegetarian and occasionally eats chicken. Being an almost vegetarian means sweets should also make room on the menu. Charlize loves eating sweets, but in moderation. The actress doesn’t consider her healthy eating a diet. For her, it’s more a lifestyle.

She eats protein, fruits, vegetables but she also allows herself small portions of cakes, pizza, or hamburgers.  In order to not starve herself and then go for a snack, Charlize prefers eating 6 small meals a day.  For example, for breakfast she eats two slices of bread with brain, a tomato and a lettuce.  For dinner, she may have one toast, chicken, salad filled with lemon juice and fresh fruits.
