Jennifer Aniston's Anti Aging Diet
By Alice Mitchell, Project Weight Loss Editor
January 07, 2009

In the winter time, after the “heavy” holidays, most people cover themselves in order to get warm or hide those extra pounds. Jennifer Aniston has never been prouder of her young, fit body as she revealed it on the beach of Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, where she spent her New Year’s holiday. What’s her anti-aging secret?

"I feel more comfortable today than I ever did in my twenties or early thirties. I am more at peace in my mind and with my body,” she said. The actress, soon to be 40 years old, has the body of a 25-year-old: fit and cellulite-free. So, who wouldn’t feel comfortable with that figure? But that’s a result of hard work and a balanced diet.

Mandy Ingber is Jennifer’s yoga instructor who helps her feel and look great. She practices it three times a week and music is part of the workout, as this helps the actress de-stress and focus only on herself. After yoga, she runs on the treadmill for about 20 minutes.

Jennifer is not a fan of the traditional gym workout. Her idea of exercise is variation: change the space, the music, the types of exercises or even the types of sports. Today she can practice yoga but tomorrow she may punch a boxing bag, do some paddle surfing or accompany her friend Courtney Cox in a Budokon session.

Her diet consists of carbs and low-fat protein. It may be a strict diet, but it sure is healthy. It helped Jennifer lose over five kilos, so it’s a “must try” diet. For instance, the actress starts her day with a healthy breakfast consisting of a bowl of muesli with skimmed milk and blackberries, and she finishes with a rhubarb and guava shake.

This shake seems to be her anti-aging secret because, as she explains, it makes her feel full of energy. For lunch she has a chicken salad with tuna, a tomato, some tuna and lettuce and, of course, the usual shake. For dinner Jennifer likes to eat a salmon fillet with roasted vegetables and bulgar wheat. Her usual snacks are low-fat yoghurt, raw nuts or fruits.
