Kourtney Kardashian Is Pregnant - How to Prepare for Babies

By Alex Baran, Project Weight Loss Staff Writer

Kourtney Kardashian debuts with two news: her show on Sunday (Kourtney and Khloé Take Miami) and her pregnancy. Is she ready to have a child? How do you prepare for a baby?

Without telling who is the father, Kourtney admited she was shocked, but her mother was very excited, according to E!. Media thinks the father might be the ex-boyfriend, Scott Disick.

Many things change when a baby is about to come. Until women get used to the all pregnancy stuff, people realize they have to prepare the house, the baby’s room and a whole lot of other things. Here are a few tips on how to prepare for a baby.

Families need baby equipment - bouncer seats are a must because you can put your baby near you, wherever you are, so you can keep an eye on him. You should have a swing too – kids are crazy about them. Once he can support his head you’ll also need an exersaucer – most of them have music and toys. High chairs help you to feed the baby easier and faster.

Of course, babies have specific items – what is necessary and what isn’t? Do I have to mention diapers? I think not. How about a diaper genie? It helps you store dirty diapers until you get the chance to get them outside to the garbage can. Since most of your guest will bring toys for the baby, you should make sure to buy a toy box.

When the big moment comes, you should have your bag prepared. Include birth plan, hospital paperwork, insurance information, clothes (in case you don’t want to wear ones from the hospital), extra pillows, relaxation music, and whatever snacks you like. You may also need a camera, money, books, and magazines. Don’t forget items for your child – clothes, blankets, and the car seat.

Moms can be pretty busy and preparing food for the kids may be tricky. Here’s a solution – double the recipes and freeze what is extra.

Consider taking childbirth classes. They have lots of benefits and start from the third trimester of pregnancy. These classes provide very useful information regarding self-care after giving birth, postpartum depression, breastfeeding, and other important things.
